Liliya Ruhukya is widely recognized for her thoughtful instruction, deep technical knowledge, and genuine passion for teaching dance. Her professional training, performance experience, and kind-hearted approach make her an exceptional educator and mentor. She proudly serves as the Competition Director at Karen’s School of Dance.

Liliya began her dance training at age ten and completed eight years of professional classical ballet training at the College of Ballet and Choreography in Minsk, Belarus. There she studied the renowned Vaganova method under esteemed instructor Vera Shvetsova. During her training and professional career, she worked with distinguished choreographers including Dr. Olga Tarasova, Lena Golikova, and Lena Bendel.

She performed numerous classical ballets at the Bolshoi Theater in Minsk including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Giselle, The Nutcracker, and Chopiniana. Since joining Karen’s School of Dance in 2002, Liliya has taught dancers of all levels from beginners to advanced students in ballet, pointe, variations, character, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theater. Her students and choreography have received numerous awards including recognition for Choreographer of the Year.
